Introduction
Welcome to the Art Gallery of Western Australia. Through our collections and programs we offer visitors exciting encounters with the art of Western Australia, Australian Indigenous art and the art of the world. We place particular emphasis on our geographic position as a window on the Indian Ocean Region for Australia. Our proximity and access to many of the most exciting cultures of the world adds immeasurably to programs, exhibitions, collections and events at the State Art Gallery.
