The Art Gallery of Western Australia continues its relationship with the Water Corporation to bring you this stunning collection of works through a new journey through your State Art Collection.

This self-guided Water Walk trail gives you an in-depth look into the artists and their works. You'll also learn some interesting facts about water and the environment and its importance to the Western Australian community and how we can all play a role in protecting and conserving this precious resource.

It uses works of art from the State Art Collection to increase community awareness about themes such as water as a force of nature, water usage, and water as a scarce resource.

The sustainability of water sources is one of the most challenging issues facing Australia. This is particularly the case in the South West of Western Australia where climate change has resulted in a noticeable drop in rainfall since 1975. Indications are this trend will continue - it's up to us all to educate ourselves on how we can use water wisely to help future generations.

Pick up the Water Walk brochure at the Art Gallery reception desk or download the electronic version below and explore some of the complex relationships between people and water.
