Heritage Day

Celebrate Heritage Day at the Art Gallery of Western Australia Sunday 15 November 2009 |
It's time to celebrate the valuable inheritance our forefathers left us with Heritage Day and a opportunity to showcase our City's history going back many thousands of years before colonisation. |
It is a unique opportunity for residents and visitors of all ages and cultures to explore the fascinating history that is - the City of Perth. At the Gallery you can take a tour of the the historic Art Nouveau style Centenary Galleries. This amazing part of the gallery with its pressed tin elaborately embossed ceilings, wonderful examples of colonial furniture, Jarrah floors from the forests in the South-West and stained glass is the perfect setting for some of the State Art Collection. |
