Public Transport: Rail, Bus & Taxi Access
Rail
The Art Gallery of Western Australia is easily accessed by pedestrian over-pass from the Perth train station. On alighting from your train follow signs for 'Eastern Concourse'. Take the lift or the escalators to the top; proceed through the barriers and turn left. You will cross the bridge immediately before arriving at the Art Gallery to your right.
Transperth recommend that those travellers requiring special assistance at train stations contact them on 1800 800 022 for further details. This is a 24 hour service. Bus and Taxi
Transperth's Blue CAT buses provide the closest pick-up and drop-off points for the Art Gallery at Stop 7 on Beaufort St and Stop 15 on William St. If you require further information regarding bus service to the Gallery, pelase contact Transperth's Infoline directly on +61 929428 1900 (interstate and overseas visitors) or 13 62 13. Alternatively visit the Transperth website at www.transperth.wa.gov.au.
Taxi and special group buses are temporarily permitted to drive into the Cultural Centre to within 30m of the Main Gallery entrance for set-down and pick-up purposes only. Please inform your driver to enter James St via Beaufort St. Longer-term parking is strictly prohibited.
School/special group bus bay parking is provided on Beaufort Street, Perth.
Sightseeing Transport
'Perth Tram Company' provides a tourist-oriented transport service, showing you around the City and Northbridge by double decker bus. It stops close by the Art Gallery of Western Australia at Stop No. 15 on Beaufort Street (near the James Street Mall).

A Coach Stand for drop-off / pick-up of students is located on Beaufort Street, approximately 50 metres north of the Roe Street intersection. The City of Perth does not provide bus parking facilities within the city’s boundaries. For further information contact the City of Perth Parking Team on 1300 889 613.
