Enjoy all-ages workshops, talks, food, dance, and music as AGWA welcomes community to share stories, yarn, listen and connect with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and culture.

Ever Present: First Peoples Art of Australia

Ever Present: First Peoples Art of Australia surveys historical and contemporary works by over 80 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from across Australia. Drawn from the collections of the National Gallery of Australia and Wesfarmers Arts, the powerful works in this touring exhibition reveal the contemporary views and lived experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, bridging time and place, and connecting through the perspectives of identity, resilience and cultural legacy.

COVID-19 Safety Policies

The safety of our patrons and staff is our main priority at AGWA. We has a comprehensive COVID-19 Safety Plan in place which follows the WA State Government Guidelines.

• All visitors to AGWA aged 16 years and over will be required to present proof of vaccination (or an approved form of medical exemption) upon entry to the venue.
• All visitors must check in via ServiceWA, SafeWA, or manual sign-in upon arrival.
• Visitors are required to wear a mask at all times in AGWA’s galleries and public spaces as per the current State Government mandate.
• We encourage 1.5m physical distancing and good hygiene. Hand sanitising stations are located throughout our venue for your use.

and supported by the Australian Government through the Office for the Arts.

On Saturday 27 August, the Gallery is open 10am-3pm only as we prepare for the AGWA Foundation Gala supporting women in the arts. Some exhibition access will be disrupted with two Tracks We Share ground floor galleries closed. AGWA Rooftop bar will be closed, reopening at 2pm Sunday. Details
