Look, look. Anna Park | Artist Talk & Book Signing

Anna Park will discuss her artistic practice and new body of work with exhibition curator Rachel Ciesla, Lead Creative, Simon Lee Foundation Institute of Contemporary Asian Art.

Rising star of contemporary art comes to AGWA in an Australian-first exhibition. Look, look. Anna Park debuts with more than 15 never-before-seen charcoal and ink works on paper that feverishly capture the spirit of contemporary life, created specifically for AGWA.

Drawing inspiration from popular culture, shared human experiences and interpersonal exchanges, Park’s works address the cultural construction and perception of identity, sexuality, and power within our hyper-mediated society.

Publication | $65
Look, look. titled after Anna Park’s first museum exhibition show curated by Rachel Ciesla at The Art Gallery of Western Australia, is the artist’s first solo publication produced by AGWA. Presenting Anna Park’s comedic exploration of the female body within contemporary American culture, this exhibition book features 15 of her newly exhibited works, a curatorial essay by Rachel Ciesla and a studio ‘behind the scenes’ section, allowing readers to gain an in-depth ‘Look’ into Anna Park as a figurative artist and her world.

Following the artist talk, join Anna Park in the AGWA Design Store for the book signing.
